In the matter of .Minors ??? No. 704338 David G. Cooper, Co. “E”, 4 Tenn Volunteer Cavalry
On this 17 day of April A.D 1900. personally came before me, a Clerk of County Court in and for the aforesaid County, duly authorized to administer oaths, James S Roberts aged 58 years resident of Cleveland in the County of Bradley and State of Tennessee, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn declare in relation to the aforesaid case as follows:
I have made no claim for any pension in relation to the service of David G. Cooper, other than the one above described.
As to P No 3 in Circular 3-472 is considered entirely impracticable to comply with the requirement: Soldier’s principal family physician, Dr Saml H. Day has been dead some three years: His wife died several years before the death of the Soldiers: Some of their older children are deceased, and some are removed away from this locality.
As to the exact date of the death of Soldier’s only wife, I present a copy of the Family Record which I believe to be reliable. Dr Marshall made his statement from his account book an entry made about nine years prior to his affidavit. It is likely the best and only statement he will make.
I further declare that I have no interest in said case and am not concerned in its prosecution. outside of my duties as Guardian.
