- WALCZYK, ETHEL M. EVANS - of Powell, passed away August 16, 1999, at her home. Member of First Baptist Church of Powell. She retired after 30 years of teaching in Powell Elementary School. Survived by husband, Anton F. Walczyk; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Louie Lusk and Jeanee and Stephen Zirkle; grandchildren, Natasha and David Lusk and Alyson and Jennifer Zirkle; brother, Oscar Evans; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Powell with the service to follow at 8 p.m. Revs. Phil Jones and Jerry Tallent officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the gravesite at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 10 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Powell's Building Fund or Missions Fund, 7706 Ewing Rd., Powell, TN 37849. Arrangements by McCarty's Woodhaven Chapel.
