POLLARD, LENA JUANITA JOHNSON - age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 1999. Graduated from Young High School in 1943. Was married at New Hopewell Baptist Church, where she attended for many years. In recent years, until her illness, she faithfully attended Fellowship Baptist Church. She was employed by Dunn & Bradstreet, Knoxville Sand & Gravel and most recently retired from employment at the Knox County Probate Office. She was preceded in death by: husband, James Harold Pollard, her father, Lindsay Johnson; and brother, Donald Johnson. Survivors: mother, Lena Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Pollard; granddaughter and husband, Shannon and Rusty Satterfield; granddaughter, Amanda Moore; grandson, Justin Moore; sisters, Josephine Cannon, Dorothy Rose, Brenda Johnson and Linda Cordell; brothers, Lindsay Johnson and wife, Doris, Floyd Johnson and wife, Bonnie, Terry Johnson and wife, Loretta; a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank special friends, Myrtle Moretz and Mildred Moore. Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday at Berry Chapel, Pastors Chris Francis and Charlie Lynch officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Kidney Foundation or Fellowship Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
