- UNDERWOOD, JANIMA RUSSELL - age 88 of Knoxville passed away suddenly August 3, 2006 at her residence. Member of Cumberland Baptist Church, former member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She worked at J. C. Penney downtown before working at U.T. Hospital's X-ray department where she retired at age 80. Preceded in death by, husbands, Curtis Russell and Hugh Underwood, parents; Carroll and Leah Flynn, and sister Juanita Flynn. Survivors; son, Ronald and wife Patricia Russell; daughter, Sandra and husband Mike Hinds all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Rachel Russell of Chattanooga, Missi and husband Steve Cunningham of Knoxville, Ashley and husband Chris Bault of Phoenix, AZ.; great-grandchildren, Chase and Cruise Cunningham and Eli Bault; sisters; Jewell and David Herrell of Knoxville and Beuna and Paul Bridges of Manchester, TN; beloved niece and nephews; Janice Herrell, David Herrell II, Chris Bridges and Alan Bridges. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 8, 2006 from 6-8 pm. with service to follow, with Rev. Troy Cody and her son Rev. Ronald Russell officiating. Friends and Family will meet at the entrance of Highland Memorial Cemetery at 10:45 am Wednesday, August 9, 2006 for 11 am graveside service.
