- Cate, Glendia Loveday, age 47, of Dandridge, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2002, following a sudden illness. Glendia was a graduate of Maury High School, Class of 1973 and an employee of Lear Corp. and an avid Nascar race fan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Pauline Lancaster Loveday. She is survived by her husband, Dale Cate; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Wendell Loveday, all of Dandridge; mother-in-law, Irma Cate; step-son, Scott Cate; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Dennis Cate, Melissa Cate, and Linda Vann; nieces and nephews, Stacy and Randy Baxter and special niece, Jessica Baxter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, at 8 p.m. at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Buford Seal and Bro. Wayne McKinney conducting the service. Interment graveside services will be held Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Cate Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. prior to funeral services.
