- Gerald Lynwood Shell
Eagleville - Gerald Lynwood Shell, age 81, of Eagleville, TN passed away on February 16, 2018. He was born on September 8, 1936 to Flossie Mae and Millard Woodson Shell.
After graduating from Michigan State and UC Berkeley, Gerry began his revolutionary career as an Environmental Engineer. He dedicated his life to researching, developing, and implementing technologies used to treat water and wastewater. The processes and equipment he developed are used in systems worldwide. Some of his largest and most successful projects took place in Mexico, Singapore, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. He was involved in the research and development of wastewater technologies at locations in over 40 states in the U.S.
Gerry is survived by his loving and supportive wife of over 36 years, Carol Elizabeth Shell, and their two children Jennifer Ashleigh and Jonathan Lynwood. He is also survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Bette Shell and their three children, Karen Crouch, Kevin, Mark, and five grandchildren.
Gerry was the youngest of six strong-willed, successful boys. He is proceeded by his brothers Basil and Harold, and survived by brothers Jack, Don, and Bill.
A funeral service and celebration of life will commence at Battle Mountain Farm in College Grove on Saturday, February 24th, from 2 - 4 PM.
