- ROMINES, EDNA CLEO UNDERWOOD - age 96, of Strawberry Plains, died at home on December 27, 1998. She was a lifelong member of Thorngrove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Oda Romines; sons, Charlie Romines and Jimmy Romines; and grandson, Michael Romines. She is survived by daughter, Virginia Adams; son, Johnny Romines and wife, Wanda; grandchildren, Steve Adams, Susan Adams Seals and Jim Seals, Juanita Romines Warwick and Jon Warwick, Debra Romines; great-grandchildren, Chris Adams, Gina Adams Fawver and Rick Fawver, Christy Jo Seals, Jennifer Seals, Keela Romines, Cassie Romines; great-great-grandchild, Andrew Fawver; sister, Bertha Mae Young; and brothers, L.D. Underwood and Leonard Underwood. Funeral service 7 p.m. Monday, Roberts Chapel, Rev. Tim Tatum and Rev. John Brewster officiating. Pallbearers: Chris Adams, Jon Warwick, Mack Emmert, Rolland Yount, Jr., Tim Underwood, Terry Underwood, R.L. Faulkner, Eddie Seals, Charles Edward Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Lee and deacons of Thorngrove Baptist Church. Flower girls: Evelyn Morrell, Betty Walker, Gladys Ellison, Helen Moffitt, Billie Clift, Jean Neil, Annah Faulkner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thorngrove Baptist Church Building Fund or Strawberry Plains Methodist Church Organ Fund. Family and friends will meet 10:15 Tuesday, Roberts Chapel and go in procession to Beech Springs Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Roberts Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2112 Magnolia Avenue.
