- SHUMATE, DOROTHY LEE - age 83, of Maynardville, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005. Preceded in death by: husband, Arthur Shumate; mother and father Vera and Jesse Norris; sister, Mary Evelyn Loy. Survived by: sister and brother-in-law, Edna Grace and Ray Nunn of Tazewell; brother-in-law, Earl Loy, Sr.; nieces, Judy Rigsby, Kathy Irick, Teresa Davis, Jeannie Moore, Ren?e Bills, and Betty Waggoner; nephews, Earl Loy, Jr. of Maynardville; Kelly, Kendall, Kevin, and Kent Nunn of Tazewell. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2005, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m., at Cooke Mortuary Chapel. Rev. John Goins officiating. Interment Saturday, 11:00 a.m. Monroe Cemetery. Singers will be: Sharon Loy, Laura Loy, and Andrea Hensley.
