Donald F. Weaver, Sr. age 79 went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2017 from his home while surrounded by his loving family. Don was a faithful member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church for many years; additionally he was a longtime, proud employee for over 10 years at Berry Highland South Funeral Home where you could find him many mornings sitting in one of the rockers reading the newspaper and waiting for other staff to arrive. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Weaver; parents, Alvis and Cora Weaver; brothers Hugh, Kelso and RJ, sisters Dixie and Lillian; granddaughter Marlee Davis. Don is survived by children, Sharon Miracle and husband Terry; Don Weaver, Jr.; Kim Miller and husband Lee; Richard Weaver and wife Suzi; Leigh Ann Jones and husband Todd; grandchildren, Joe, Jonathan, Carolyn, Casey, Celsi, Catelyn, Clark, Caleb, Heather, MaryAnn, Paige and Christian. Great grandchildren Elijah, Michael, Miracle and Avyn; brothers Harb and Cliff; sister, Ruth Surrett . The family would like to extend a very special thanks to granddaughter Carolyn Armstrong and Michael for all of your great care to dad during his illness as well as U.T. Home Hospice for their excellent care. Don is going to be greatly missed by many extended family members and very special friends too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home 9010 E. Simpson Rd. with the funeral to follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev's Ben Whitted, Roger Lee and Pastor James Yeary officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Berry Highland South Cemetery for an 11:00 am entombment service.
