MAXWELL, CLAUDE M. - age 68, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, April 12, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of Inskip Baptist Church. A U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in Korea. Preceded in death by mother, Ruby K. Maxwell; sisters, Wilma Thompson and Margaret Johnson; brother, Joe E. Maxwell. Survivors: wife, Diane Maxwell; daughter, Rachel Maxwell, both of Knoxville; sister, Kathryn DeVine, Gadson, Ala.; brother, Neil Maxwell, Mascot; son, Michael Maxwell; sister-in-law, Cathy Gaddy; brother-in-law, Daren Townsend, all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel, Rev. Ernest Condee and Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Interment Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jason Gaddy, Daren Townsend, Everette Henderson, Darrell Woods, Joe and Derrick Whitaker. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
