CATE, CECIL M. age 58, of Route 3, New Market, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Baptist Hospital. Member of Dumplin Baptist Church. Survivors: wife Evelyn Cate, New Market; son, Kenneth Cate, Strawberry Plains; daughters, Cathy Russell, Strawberry Plains, Janice Witt, Powell; grandchildren, Heather, Jennifer and Erin Witt, all of Powell, Brandon and Ashley Russell, Daniel Cate, all Strawberry Plains; brothers, Harold, Paul, J.L. and D.R. Cate, all of New Market; sisters, Trula Huskey, New Market, Lucille Loop, Marynardville, Joyce Nelson, Clinton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Fielden's Chapel, Rev. Jerry Dezearn and Dr. Sammy Pinkston officiating. Interment Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.
