    POLLARD, Mr. Earl M. -- age 68, of Luttrell, passed away 1:30 a.m. Friday, October 23, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of Block Springs Baptist Church, Blaine. Retired employee of Knoxville Glove Company and had been a route salesman for Wonder Bakery. Preceded in death by son, James Earl Pollard; parents, Hobert and Leona King Pollard. Survivors: wife, Leora Graves Pollard, Luttrell; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ronnie Graves; granddaughter and husband, Shea and Chad Hightower, all of Corryton; sister, Lois Collier, Luttrell; brothers, Norman Pollard, Maynardville, David Pollard, Bud Pollard, both of Luttrell; several nieces, nephews and a host of special friends. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Horace Dyer officiating. Interment Community Cemetery, Luttrell. Pallbearers: Chad Hightower, Greg Collier, Lee Pollard, Phil Pollard, Neal Pollard, Toby Burnett. Honorary pallbearers: Ronnie Graves, Eddie Pollard, Tony Woods, Rufus Walker, Freeman Collins, Johnny Sweet, Charles Burchell. Arrangements Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.

Retired US Army veteran with 20 years of service having served in the Korean War and had three tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Employee of Tenneco Oil Company for 14 years until his disability in 1985. Preceded in death by: parents, Hobart and Leona King Pollard; daughter, Lisa M. Pollard; brother, Earl M. Pollard. Survivors: loving wife of 36 years, Jo Ann (Lee) Pollard; son, Eddie Pollard, both of Maynardville; very special grandson, Michael Jeffrey Pollard; sister, Lois Collier; brothers, Bud and David Pollard, all of Luttrell; several very loving and caring nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m., Sunday at Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Steve Kelly, Rev. R.H. Barnes officiating. Interment in Community Cemetery, Luttrell, with military graveside rites. Pallbearers: nephews, Tony Wood, Lee, Neal and Phil Pollard, Toby Burnett, Greg Collier, Casey and Brett Donley. Honorary pallbearers: Garold Welch, Kevin Byrd. Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville, in charge.
