    Linda Sims (1952-1977), the youngest daughter of Turner & Velma Cate Sims, was killed at age 24 in the Kodak Bank Robbery (Citizens National Bank) where whe was employed, along with two other employees and one customer. Linda was married to Jim Davis; there were no cihldren. - Sevier County & Its Heritage; article submitted by C. M. Stiles from family records; pg. 342-343.

    Died:
    Sherrill Sims (1952-1971), the youngest of six children and the only son of Turner & Velma Cate Sims, was killed in an automobile accident in 1971 along with two other friends. He was seventeen. -- Sevier County and Its Heritage; pg 343.

    Sims, Sherrill, 17, DOA Sevier County Hospital; killed in auto near Kodak School. Friends, Dennis Smith and Jerry Cooper also died in accident. Survived by parents of Kodak, TN; 5 sisters, Mrs. Colbert (Evelyn) Strange, Mrs. J. D. (Carolyn) Grandstaff, Mrs. Earl (Marie) Stiles, Mrs. Harold (Wanda) Ogle, Mrs. Jim (Linda) Davis all of Kodak; 4 nephews, Rodney & Mark Strange, David Grandstaff, Stanley Stiles; grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Cate, Mrs. Lennie Sims.
