- TURNER, RUTH ELLEN MURPHY - of Inskip, died Friday morning September 8, 2000. She was a member of Inskip Baptist Church, past Worthy Matron in Fountain City Chapter of OES, and former Grand Officer for Tennessee. Mrs. Turner was co-owner of the former Turner Produce Co. and member of Top of the World Homeowner's Assoc. at Hideaway Village. She was the widow of Neagil U. Turner. Her survivors include Neagil J. and Barbara Turner, Daryl (John) and Jan Turner, and Gerald H. and Brenda Turner all of Knoxville; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Saturday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday at Harrison-Chilhowee Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 28105-1905.
