ELDER, HAZEL - age 90, of New Market, TN passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. She was a member of Dumplin Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Maynard Elder; and daughter, Jeanette Cate. She is survived by her son, C. M. Elder of New Market; grandson, Steve Cate; great-grandchildren, Natasha Cate, Jordan, Victoria and Patrick Cate, all of New Market; sister, Bonnie Hoskins of Strawberry Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Josh Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Dumplin Cemetery.
