CATE, WILMA JEAN - age 73 of Baldwin Cate Rd., New Market, Tenn., passed away Saturday evening, November 17, 2001 at her home. She was born, raised and was a life long resident of the Dumplin Community of Jefferson County and was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Member of the Dumplin Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Rosa Cate; sister, Beulah Pate; brothers, Mayford, Olif and Dexter Cate; daughter in law, Hope Cate. Survivors: husband of 56 years, D.F. Cate; daughters & sons in law, Pat and Kenny Ballew, Kay and Charlie Blake, Rhonda and Jacky Burkhart, Angie and Frankie Brown; sons & daughters in law, W.A. Cate, Fred an Shirley Cate, Ted and Sharon Cate, Richie and Brenda Cate; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Blanche Cate and brother, Bobby Cate. Funeral services Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Dumplin Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Jones and Rev. Kyle Cate officiating. Interment to follow in Cate Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Dumplin Baptist Church. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
