LEE age 75 of Rt. 3, New Market, life long resident of Dumplin Community, passed away 4:40 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville after a brief illness. Member of Dumplin Baptist Church, prominent farmer in Jefferson Co., member of Woodmen of the World. Preceded in death by son, Wayne. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Victoria Bailey Cate, New Market; 2 daughters, Mrs. Earl (Marjorie) Fawver, Knoxville, Mrs. Bonnie Franklin, Lakeland, Fla; son Carroll Cate, Knoxville; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Mr. R.A. (Rube) Cate, New Market; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday at 3 p.m. at Farrar's Chapel. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Farrar's Dandridge.
