Monday, fred Allison (Hookie) - age 95, of Rt. 8 Thorngrove Pike, died Wednesday evening at UT Hospital. He was retired with Gray Knox Marble Co. Preceded in death by wife, Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Smith Monday. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a music and voice teacher, song writer and publisher. Survivors: Dauighters, Mrs. Florence Saveley, Mrs. Reva Fisher, Mrs. Louisa Cardwell, Straw Plains; sons, Fred D. Monday, Knoxville, Jessee Francis Monday of Charlotte, NC, Horse Monday of Knoxville; several grandchildren and great-grndchildren; sister, Mrs. Gracie Lakins of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday at McCarty Chapel, Rev. Charles Fisher, Rev Roy Myers officiating. Interment Pollard Cemetery, Sevier County. Pallbearers: Donnie, Eddie and Herbert Monday Jr., Tommy Schniche. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at McCarty Mortuary
