Obituary: Davis, Mrs. Eliza, age 78, of Route 2, Concord died 8 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her son Fletcher Davis after a lingering illness. She was a member of Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of the late James Davis. Survivors: sons, Renzo, Lenoir City; Lee, Oscar, Fletcher and Vestal, all of Concord; brother, Charles Tindle; sister, Mrs. Carrie Medlin, White Pine, Tenn.; 51 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. The body will be returned to the home of Fletcher Davis at 1 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday at Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Rev. Carles Faith and Rev. Paul Justice officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Ralph, J.C., James, Cecil, Hobart and Amos Davis. Weavers in charge.
