- MILNER, BETTY UNDERWOOD - age 77 of Knoxville, passed away Monday June 20, 2005 at St Mary's Residential Hospice in Halls. She was a Charter Member of St Lukes United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by: parents, J.W. & Effie Underwood Sr.; sisters, Helen & Virginia; brother, Jay. She was very devoted to her family and church and is survived by: husband, Harold Milner; daughter, Janet Milner Brown and husband Tom Brown; son, David Milner and wife Ann Milner; grandchildren, Katie Brown Hawn and husband Trevor, Lee Brown and Holly Milner. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of St Mary's Residential Hospice in Halls for their kindness. Family and friends will meet at the West Adair Entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery 9:45 a.m. Thursday for graveside services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev William Stooksbury officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
