POLLARD, Mr. James Carlile "J.C." - age 78, of Newborn, Ga. formerly of Kodak, Tenn., died Monday, April 15, 2002, at Newton General Hospital in Covington, Ga. Mr. Pollard was a member of Gaithers United Methodist Church, Covington, Ga. He was also a member of the Mansfield Masonic Lodge #489, where he was Past Master, Yorkrite Mason, Alcovy Shrine Lodge, and the Yaraab Temple, Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Pollard was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. His wife, Fledia Pollard; parents, Monroe and Jean Shubert Pollard preceded James in death. He is survived by his grandchildren, James K. Selvidge of Newborn, Ga., and Michael Scott Flowers of Ocala, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Ivery Selvidge of Newborn, Ga., Julie Bowles of Newman, Ga., and Christ Selvidge of Newborn, Ga.; great-great grandchildren, Christopher Selvidge and Michael Thrasher, Jr.; son-in-law, Mr. Larry Flowers of Ocala, Fla., and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, Covington, Ga. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 15 Kodak United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rawlings Funeral Home, (Sevierville, TN) is in charge of local arrangements.
