Walker, Mrs. Dorothy Hancock - age 58, Route 17, Emory Rd., died 3 a.m. Friday at the family home after a lingering illness. She was a member of Beaver Ridge United Methodist church. Member of Beaver Ridge O.E.S. No. 320. Survivors: husband, Freeman Walker; sons, Clark, Bruce and David Walker, Knoxville; Mother, Mrs. Emma Hancock, Knoxville; brother Buford Hancock, Knoxville; sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Gray, Mrs. Ed Ammons, both of Knoxville, Mrs. James Patterson, Worth Ill., Mrs. Fred Borden, Maryville, Mrs. Aileen Acuff, Chattanooga; Six grandsons. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday at the Weaver Chapel. The Rev. J. Vance Eastridge officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers, Olev Rhea, Wyath Atwood, Orin Lynch, Clyde Cox, Curtis Cross, Warren Hatmaker. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Weaver Funeral Home.
