- CATE, MRS. HATTIE BAILEY - age 82 of Rt. 2, Kodak, widow of the late Mr. M. M. Cate, passed away 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Member of the French Broad Valley Baptist Church. Survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Turner (Velma) Sims, Mrs. Henry (Goldie) Catlett, both of Kodak, Mrs. John (Florence) Swann, Mrs. Jimmy (Louise) Kelly, both of Dandridge; 4 sons, Ernest, Troy and Reed Cate, all of Kodak, Robert Bailey, Mascot; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Tuesday 2:30 p.m. from the French Broad Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Kyle Cate, Rev. Buford Wilson, Rev. Colbert Strange officiating. Interment in Underwood Cemetery. Grandsons will be active pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience after 5 p.m. Monday. Farrar's Dandridge, in charge.
