• Notes

  Solomon's son John M served as a Major in the Indiana Militia. He later studied medicine from 1847 to 1850 and practiced as a physician until 1861. He began a career as a lawyer in 1861 and continued that career through his lifetime. He was a Democrat and served in the Indiana House of Representatives from Greene Co in 1863 and 1865 and in the Indiana State Senate from Greene and Owen Co in 1867 and 1869. He served as Greene Co Clerk from 1855 to 1859 and was also a Township Trustee and Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church. [1]
