- Henson's son Andrew moved to Putnam Co, IN in 1826, to Greene Co, IN in 1842, to the Utah Territory about 1858, and returned to Greene Co, IN in 1862. He served in the Indiana Militia in the 47th regiment as a 1st lieutennant in 1846 and as a major in 1847. Andrew worked as a blacksmith, lawyer, farmer, and operated a distillery. He served as Putnam Co, IN constable and Justice of the Peace in Greene Co, IN (1843-1849). He was a Democrat and served in the Inidiana State House of Representatives from Greene Co from 1849-1852, 1855-1857, and in 1879. He served in the Indiana State Senate in 1853 where he was president pro tem and again in 1875, and 1895-1897. He was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1876 and served only one year. He was also a US Marshall and Indian agent for the Utah Territory in 1859-1860. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Sons of Liberty.
