OBITUARY:
EVANS, OSCAR - age 97, of Powell, passed away Thursday July 12, 2001. He was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Powell Masonic Lodge #582, also Order of Eastern Star #335. He is preceded in death by wife, Jeanette Cooper Evans. He is survived by sons and daughters in law, John O. and Penny Evans, O.E. II and Mary Sue Evans; grandson, Brien and wife, Stephanie Evans; granddaughters, Beth Evans, Heather Evans and fianc?, Jason Roach. Special thanks to the staff of NHC of St. Mary's for the care they provided , also special thanks to Rev. Fred West, Jr. for his loving and caring friendship. Funeral services will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Weaver Chapel with Rev. Fred West,. Jr. officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at 9:45 a.m. at Bells Campground Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside service. Family will receive friends Sunday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Family Life Center Building Fund, 7225 Old Clinton Pike Knoxville, Tenn. 37921. Weaver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
