    John Biggs is the ancestor who assisted in establishing America Independence while acting in Capacity of Private under Capt. Miller and Col. McCoy and Broadhead.
    He enlisted at West Moreland Co., Penn. Aug. 17, 1776 and was engaged in the battle of Saratoga and Edge Hill Penn. under Capt., Samuel Miller and Col. McCoy and Broadhead the 8th., Regiment. He was discharged at Fort Pitt (Pittsburg) 1779.
    From the Custodian of Public Record of Penn. State Library, we found that John Biggs was a Private in Lientenant Williams Withers Company of Rangers 1779.

    John married Isabella Wilson on 14 Dec 1782 in Rockbridge Co., VA. Isabella died in 1838. [Group Sheet]
