8. | James Franklin Pollard was born on 25 Apr 1860 in Tennessee (son of James C. Pollard and Scynthia Cate); died on 06 Oct 1929 in Tennessee. Notes:
Frank and Cordelia Pollard were of German and Scotch-Irish ancestry. Their families migrated to the Kodak area from North Carolina in the late 18th and 19th centuries. Sevier County and Its Heritage by grandson, Bill Huffaker; pg. 232.
Frank Pollard is mentioned in the Northview Homecoming 1986 program as having run a mill with his brother, Jesse in the mid 1920s.
Frank Pollard was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church. (Beech Springs Baptist Church was organized 12 May 1883 with 18 original members. On the second Saturday in June, 1883, the first sermon in the newly organized church was preached by Rev. Wm McPherson. Frank Pollard is listed as being received by experience and approved for baptism.
