    SMITH, CHRIS, age 44, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 20, 2008. He was of the Baptist faith and was an employee of Perfect Polish, Inc. Survived by son, Josh Smith; mother, Lois Ann Smith; father, Alvis Smith; sister, Theresa Brown; brother, Greg Smith; nephews, Ryan and Aaron Leek. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, Rev. Al Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at Asbury Cemetery on Sunday for 2:00 PM interment services. Pallbearers will be Tommy and Chris Lively, James Griffith, Jerry George, Tate Peck and Mike McDonald.     MONDAY, HORACE M. "PAPAW" - age 70 of Knoxville, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 22, 2005. He was a member of Marbledale Baptist Church and his life was a living testimony of the love he had for his family and the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Monday was a Veteran of the United States Army and was preceded in death by: his grandson, Jonathan Christian Sharp parents, Fred and Pearl Monday brothers, R.J., Gett, Grady, Bill, and Herbert and a sister, Florence Savley. He is survived by: his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Barbara Monday of the home daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy and Bobby Horner, Susan and Rick Smith, Kim and Tim Snow, and Missy and John Sharp grandchildren, Joey Horner, Josh Smith, Kendall Smith, Jenifer Smith, Kenzie Sharp, Morgan Sharp, and Caleb Smith sisters, Louise Cardwell and Reva Fisher brother, Frances Monday mother-in-law, Polly Heaton brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Donna Heaton and Freddie and Pat Heaton several nieces and nephews special neighbors and friends, Burl and Erma Hickman. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005 in the Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lee Chorn and Reverend Al Smith officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 25, 2005 in Pollard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Marbledale Baptist Church Building Fund. Preceded in death by wife, Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Smith Monday. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a music and voice teacher, song writer and publisher. Survivors: Dauighters, Mrs. Florence Saveley, Mrs. Reva Fisher, Mrs. Louisa Cardwell, Straw Plains; sons, Fred D. Monday, Knoxville, Jessee Francis Monday of Charlotte, NC, Horse Monday of Knoxville; several grandchildren and great-grndchildren; sister, Mrs. Gracie Lakins of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.
