OBITUARY:
EVANS, OSCAR - age 97, of Powell, passed away Thursday July 12, 2001. He was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Powell Masonic Lodge #582, also Order of Eastern Star #335. He is preceded in death by wife, Jeanette Cooper Evans. He is survived by sons and daughters in law, John O. and Penny Evans, O.E. II and Mary Sue Evans; grandson, Brien and wife, Stephanie Evans; granddaughters, Beth Evans, Heather Evans and fianc?, Jason Roach. Special thanks to the staff of NHC of St. Mary's for the care they provided , also special thanks to Rev. Fred West, Jr. for his loving and caring friendship. Funeral services will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Weaver Chapel with Rev. Fred West,. Jr. officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at 9:45 a.m. at Bells Campground Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside service. Family will receive friends Sunday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Family Life Center Building Fund, 7225 Old Clinton Pike Knoxville, Tenn. 37921.
