UNDERWOOD, LEROY - age 68 of North Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was a member of South Knoxville Church of God and retired from Tennessee Armature. Preceded in death by parents, Alex and Louise Underwood; sisters, Jeanette Mutta, Christine Vaught. Survived by wife, Gladys West Underwood; sons, Gary Underwood, Jeff Underwood and wife, Peggy; step grandchild, Alex Lister and grandchildren, Brittany and Mathew Underwood; sister, Linda Allen; brother, Charles Underwood and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Chapman Hwy., with Rev. Robert Branch officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Live Wires Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to the South Knoxville Church of God, 5623 Magazine Road, Knoxville, Tenn. 37920.
