    Paul R. Cate, 77, of Dumplin Valley Community, New Market, died Monday, February 27, 1995 at his home, following a brief illness. He was the father of the late Helen Rose Cate Williams who died in 1985.
    He was a member of Dumplin Baptist Church and was retired. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Cate; grandsons, Jeff Williams and God son, John Foster, all of New Market; great grandson, Chad Williams; sisters, Lucille Loop of Corryton and Joyce Nelson of Clinton; brothers, D. F. Cate and J. L. Cate, both of New Market. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Dumplin Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Brooks and Ron Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cate Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Farrah Funeral Home in Dandridge.

    CATE, ROY M., age 62, Rt. 2, Kodak, passed away suddenly 4 a.m. Monday at his home, results of a heart attack. Member and trustee of Dumplin Baptist Church. He was a farmer of Sevier County. Veteran of WWII. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Daisy Martin Cate, Kodak; daughter, Mrs. Ron (Jeanne) Jones, Morristown; granddaughter, Miss Lori Jones; step-mother, Mrs. Laura Cate, New Market; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Loope, Maynardville, Mrs. Tula Huskey, New Market, Mrs. Joyce Nelson, Clinton; brothers, Paul, Harold, D.F., Cecil and J. L. Cate, all of New Market; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dumplin Baptist Church, Rev. Michael Brooks, Rev. David Lones, Rev. Earl Willis officiating. Interment in Cate Cemetery. The body will be moved to the church 1 hour before services. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.

    CATE, HAROLD A. - age 66, of Route 3, New Market, Dumplin Community, passed away 12:55 p.m. Friday, May 11, 1990, at his home following an extended illness. He was a farmer of Jefferson County and was retired from the Maintenance Dept. of the Jefferson County School System. Veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Cecil Cate, New Market.     D. F. Cate - Age 76, of Baldwin Cate Rd., New Market, Tenn., passed away Tuesday morning, March 5, 2002 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born and raised, and was a life long resident of the Dumplin Community of Jefferson County, and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Member of the Dumplin Baptist Church, and was an avid baseball fan. Preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Cate; parents, Arthur and Mae Woolard Cate; brothers Paul, Roy, Harold, and Cecil Cate, and daughter-in law, Hope Cate. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Kenny Ballew, Kay and Charlie Blake, Rhonda and Jacky Bukhart, and Angie and Frankie Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, W. A. Cate, Fred and Shirley Cate, Ted and Sharon Cate, and Richie and Brenda Cate; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Loop, Trula Huskey and Joyce Nelson; brother, J.L. Cate; sister-in-law, Blanche Cate, and brother-in law, Bobby Cate. Funeral services Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Ron Jones and Rev. Kyle Cate officiating.
