Notes: According to my father (Leroy Hancock, Sr.) Milton Gray was born in Kentucky. Milton and my grandfather, Payne Hancock, were close friends and often hunted together. I have noted in talking to various family members that Milton Gray's name seemingly is synomous with fox hunting. I am told that William "Bill" Whitaker had a log cabin "up on the mountain" and the men often went there to fox hunt. - (DeAnna Carolyn Hancock, Feb. 1999.) Milton married Myrtle Elizabeth Hancock. Myrtle (daughter of Bruce Hancock and Emma Jane Pollard) was born on 08 Jul 1908 in Tennessee; died on 17 Jun 1997 in Tennessee; was buried on 19 Jun 1997 in Pollards Cemetery. [Group Sheet] |
