    CATE, LAWRENCE BAILEY - age 74 of Kodak, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a member of French Broad Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mell and Hattie Bailey Cate; brothers, Ralph, Earnest, Robert Cate; brother and sister in law, Troy and Lucille Cate, all of Kodak; sister, Florance (Cate) Swann and husband, John of Dandridge; son-in-law, Fred M. Loveday, Sr. of Kodak; brothers-in-law Henry and Clay Catlett. Survivors: wife of 53 years, Juanita Catlett Cate; daughters, Brenda L. Loveday, Kodak, Tenn., Helen Brown and husband, Lugie of New Albany, Miss.; son, Eddie L. Cate; daugther-in-law, Mary Cate; brother, J.R. (Reid) Cate and wife, Dora of Kodak, Tenn.; sisters, Velma Sims and husband, Turner of Kodak, Tenn., Golda Catlett of Kodak, Tenn., Louise Kelly and husband, Jimmy of Dandridge, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Leona Cate of Kodak, Tenn.; grandchildren, Marty Loveday and wife, Cyndi, Joi Loveday, Jason Cate, Shawna Brown, Todd Brown and wife, Marilynn; great granddaughters, Kylie Loveday, Pressley Cate and Mari-Todd Brown; step great grandchildren, Lauren and Cody Fleming; brothers and sisters in law, Roy and Barbara Catlett, Rex and Violet Catlett, Shirley and Mary Catlett; sister in law, Ida Mae Catlett; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at French Broad Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad, Rev. Jimmy Riner and Rev. Alfred (Al) Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Underwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Cate, Todd Brown, Marty Loveday, Jimmy Catlett, Jared Underwood and Greg Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Cate's former co workers from Demptster Dumpster, Inc. of Knoxville. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Smoky Mountain Branch, 212 S. Member of the French Broad Valley Baptist Church. Survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Turner (Velma) Sims, Mrs. Henry (Goldie) Catlett, both of Kodak, Mrs. John (Florence) Swann, Mrs. Jimmy (Louise) Kelly, both of Dandridge; 4 sons, Ernest, Troy and Reed Cate, all of Kodak, Robert Bailey, Mascot; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Tuesday 2:30 p.m. from the French Broad Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Kyle Cate, Rev. Buford Wilson, Rev. Colbert Strange officiating. Interment in Underwood Cemetery. Grandsons will be active pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience after 5 p.m. Monday. Farrar's Dandridge, in charge.
